About
As my own trauma recovery unfolded, I became fascinated with the resilience of the human spirit. It’s my unshakeable belief that although traumatic experiences can make you feel inherently flawed and broken beyond repair — the true self has a natural drive toward wholeness. This core belief informed my career trajectory. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon in philosophy with an emphasis on feminism and ethics. From there I earned my Master’s degree in integral studies and psychodynamic theory at the California Institute of Integral Studies(CIIS). Surprisingly, trauma courses are not part of the standard curriculum in many programs. So I intentionally sought them out because I always knew I wanted my practice to focus on therapy to heal childhood trauma and PTSD. In college I worked on sexual assault crisis lines to support people who had recently experienced acute trauma. While at CIIS, I served as a teaching assistant for a trauma program under Liz Abrams, a student of Bessle van der Kolk. I also worked for the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) on their study examining the effects of MDMA on PTSD. Shortly after, I began working as a lead facilitator for UCSF's TrPR Lab conducting clinical research, along with a two year associateship at Polaris Insight Center providing Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. As a result of my education at CIIS and training at UCSF and Polaris Insight Center, I’ve become a clinician that holds mysticism in a clinically grounded framework.
