About

Madison Perry is a licensed clinical psychologist (TX 39073) and is recognized by the National Register as a Health Service Psychologist. She is in the process of becoming board certified in clinical psychology (ABPP). Dr. Perry started AHP in 2022 and owns the practice. Dr. Perry specializes in integrative therapy that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, IFS, and relational techniques. Dr. Perry completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. At Rutgers, Dr. Perry completed concentrations in pediatric psychology, child and adolescent psychology, family therapy, and multicultural therapy. Upon graduation, Dr. Perry completed comprehensive training in gerontology (specifically working with the elderly and the cognitively impacted). Dr. Perry is dedicated to providing high quality, evidence based, culturally-attuned services to people from all backgrounds. Dr. Perry takes a holistic approach to psychological services by utilizing a dynamic whole-person approach to assessment and intervention. She actively works toward creating a more just, human-focused community by questioning the medical model, meeting clients where they are at, and doing what works for people. She works closely with psychiatry, primary care, and rehabilitation therapies to ensure that patient care is efficient and effective. Dr. Perry is an expert in treating presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, relationship issues, and low self-esteem, among others. Dr. Perry is certified as an animal-assisted therapy provider which is useful for therapy to address trauma, relationship issues, ADHD, and other presenting concerns. Dr. Perry works best with folks who have had some therapy experience, want to dive deeper into their pasts. On the weekends, Dr. Perry enjoys bonding with her dog Nellie and her two cats, Kitty and Coco. She is also an avid reader and recharges by spending time outdoors. One of Dr. Perry’s interests is self-expression through personal style (e.g. clothing, home design).
