Laura Watson, MSW, ACC | Certified Psychedelic Guide Venture Coaching International | Calgary, Alberta I came to psychedelic work the way many people do — not as a researcher or early adopter, but as someone who had exhausted what conventional approaches could offer. After 30 years as a business and executive coach, I had helped hundreds of founders and leaders build successful companies and meaningful careers. I was respected in my field. My life looked the way it was supposed to look. And yet something essential was missing — a flatness beneath the surface that neither my professional training nor my personal practices could quite reach. Guided psychedelic work changed that. What I experienced wasn't dramatic or destabilizing — it was transformational. I came back into contact with parts of myself I had quietly organized my life around avoiding. I reconnected with my husband in ways I hadn't believed were still available to us. I stopped performing the life I thought I was supposed to have and started actually inhabiting the one I wanted. That experience didn't replace my decades of expertise. It completed it — and it fundamentally reshaped the work I now offer others. The Work I Do I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and an ICF coaching credential with over 30 years of experience working with entrepreneurs and executives across North America. My background spans counselling, business coaching, adult developmental psychology, somatic approaches, and systems thinking — all of which inform how I hold psychedelic experiences for the people I work with. I don't offer psychedelic experiences in isolation. Every journey I guide is embedded in a rigorous developmental container — with thorough preparation beforehand and deep integration work afterward. The experience itself is only one part of what makes this work transformative. What surrounds it matters just as much. I work with three distinct populations: Leaders' Journeys are designed for founders, executives, and senior leaders who sense they've hit an internal ceiling — that the patterns, beliefs, and identity structures that built their success are now limiting what's next. These are people who are high-functioning and self-aware, and who are ready to go somewhere conventional coaching hasn't been able to take them. We use psychedelic experience as a catalyst for the kind of identity-level shift that makes sustained leadership transformation possible. Couples Experiences are for partners — business and/or life — who want to go deeper together. Whether the relationship is thriving and ready to expand, or carrying unspoken distance and accumulated tension, these experiences create a quality of openness and reconnection that is genuinely difficult to access any other way. I bring both my coaching expertise and my personal experience of this work with my own husband to every couples journey I hold. Masterminds bring together small groups of founders and leaders for a breakthrough experience. These are particularly powerful for people who want the benefits of a journey held within community — with next level insights and group accountability that a cohort provides. My Approach Safety, intentionality, and integration are non-negotiable in everything I do. I screen carefully, prepare thoroughly, and stay closely involved through the full arc of each experience — before, during, and after. I work within a clear ethical framework and bring both my clinical background and my lived experience as a guide and a journeyer to every container I hold. I believe psychedelic experiences are most transformative when they're held inside a coherent developmental framework, not as isolated events, but as catalysts within a larger process of becoming.
