About
I’m Jacqueline Robertson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Supervisor, and founder of California Psychology Group, a boutique psychotherapy practice serving clients in Santa Barbara, Ojai, Ventura, and throughout California via telehealth. My clinical work focuses on anxiety, attachment wounds, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and significant life transitions. My approach is depth-oriented, relational, and integrative, drawing on attachment theory, Jungian psychology, somatic psychotherapy, Hakomi Mindfulness, EMDR, and parts work. I am particularly interested in the intersection of psychological healing, neuroscience, the wisdom of the body, and spirituality. I am trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and bring a deep respect for the potential of expanded states of consciousness to support psychological exploration and healing. My interest in this work is informed not only by my clinical training but also by my own experiences with psychedelic medicines and the profound personal insights and transformations they can make possible. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the importance of skilled guidance, relational safety, embodied awareness, and thoughtful integration. In my work with ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, I offer a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative space in which clients can explore their inner experiences, connect with emotions and unconscious material, and cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves. My approach integrates somatic and relational psychotherapy with depth psychology, supporting clients in making meaning of their experiences and integrating insights into their everyday lives. I believe healing is not simply about alleviating symptoms, but about understanding the patterns that shape us, reconnecting with parts of ourselves we have learned to protect or disown, and cultivating greater self-acceptance, emotional freedom, and authenticity. I view the therapeutic relationship as an essential foundation for this process, offering a space where clients can approach their inner worlds with curiosity, compassion, and a growing sense of trust in themselves. Beyond my clinical practice, I am a writer whose work explores grief, transformation, mythology, and the Heroine’s Journey. My forthcoming book, *From Grief to Love: Finding the Joy in the Wake of Loss*, explores how loss can become a threshold into deeper meaning, renewed connection, and a more wholehearted relationship with life. Across my work, I am interested in the ways psychological healing, embodied experience, and spiritual inquiry can come together to support a more integrated sense of self.
