About
My Quest began with my own Soul Journey. I started my healing path when I was 27 after a major life transition, divorce, and cross country move. I entered a 4 year period of major depression and identity crises. Who was I now and more importantly, who did I want to become. I spent time in deep Soul Reflection reviewing my beliefs and what I had been programmed to believe. I was examining my Soul's mission, my Spiritual beliefs and my life lessons. I carried deep wounds of the soul and had a grief that was hard to explain. I began to understand that I was an Empath and that some of the things I felt were not necessarily mine, but also came from society and lineage. I was beginning to have a Spiritual Awakening with Spiritual gifts coming online. I wanted to learn more about my Cherokee culture and other Indigenous cultures. I gifted myself for my 30th birthday a trip to Peru to work with a Medicine Man to begin to heal some of these deep wounds I carried. It was my first experience with Plant medicine and Indigenous ways of healing. That trip forever shifted me and changed the trajectory of my life. I proceeded to work with an underground therapist in the states who used Mushrooms and MDMA for Shamanic Soul work. I worked with him for 2 years addressing my own wounds, healing from the inside out. Reorganizing my thoughts, beliefs, and Spiritual practices.I began learning Native traditional practices working with different Medicine people. participating in Vision Quests and Sweat Lodges. My land became a host site for ceremony and I a caretaker for a sweat lodge for over a decade. I began learning more and more about Plant medicines and psychedelics for healing and tied that in with Somatic Bodywork , Expressive Arts & Eco Therapy. I became a sub-investigator with MAPS the Multiple Association for Psychedelic Studies. I am still interested in research and am currently working on a holistic Quantum Medicine Wheel model that incorporates not only traditional teachings, but quantum medicine such as light, sound, frequency, & vibration, as well as psychedelics to have a culturally appropriate model for Native Veterans. They told me the thing missing from their healing at the VA was having something that addressed their wounds of the Soul which is what motivated me to create this model based on what I have learned. The great thing about the Medicine Wheel is that it has been used by many cultures world wide and it is a structure that brings together the teachings from all our relations and is a way to reconnect to ourselves, our soul, the land, community, the Sacred/Divine, and our cosmic place in the Universe. It is a place for Unity.
